Bio
For more than 40 years, I've had the joy of teaching piano and helping students discover a lifelong love of music. I truly believe every student can learn to play, and that the best lessons are ones that are encouraging, engaging, and tailored to each person's unique interests and goals. Whether your child is sitting at the piano for the very first time or you're an adult returning to music after many years, my goal is to make every lesson a positive experience. Students learn the fundamentals of piano, technique, rhythm, and music reading while also playing songs they enjoy. I want my students to feel challenged, supported, and excited to come back each week.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Music Education with a concentration in Piano and continued my studies in Piano Performance and Pedagogy at Mount St. Joseph College. I've also had the opportunity to study at Westminster Choir College, the New School for Music, and the American Conservatory in Chicago, where I studied harpsichord. Over the years, I've been fortunate to teach in many wonderful settings. I spent eight years teaching and performing at Westminster Conservatory, taught K–8 music and theatre in the Chicago Public Schools, and was a piano instructor with Music & Arts in the Princeton area for ten years. I also enjoyed performing as a member of Princeton Pro Musica for eight years.
Today, I teach from my home studio in Yardley, Pennsylvania, where I work with students ages 5 and up. I offer 30, 45, and 60 minute lessons, with each lesson thoughtfully designed around the student's age, experience, learning style, and musical interests. One of my favorite parts of the year is our student recitals, held twice annually at the beautiful All Saints Church in Princeton. These recitals give students the chance to share what they've learned, celebrate their hard work, and build confidence in a warm and supportive setting. Watching students grow, not just as pianists, but as confident young people, is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
I'm proud to welcome students from Yardley, Newtown, New Hope, Langhorne, Morrisville, Pennington, Lawrenceville, Princeton, and the surrounding communities. Whether your goal is to build a strong musical foundation, play your favorite songs, or simply experience the joy of making music, I'd love to help you get there. I look forward to meeting you and helping you begin, or continue, your musical journey.
